As well as moving to new premises because of company growth, we also need to recruit more engineers to meet customer demand for our services. We therefore have vacancies for an experienced security service engineer and an apprentice engineer. see below for details:
Security Service Engineer
We are seeking a full time multi-skilled electronic security service engineer to join the team. The ideal candidate will be experienced with Scantronic, Galaxy and Texecom systems, or other programmable burglar alarm systems as well as CCTV, fire alarm and access control systems.
Formal qualifications are not necessarily required but you will ideally be apprentice-trained and have several years’ experience in the industry in a similar role. You will need to be fully conversant with installation, servicing and repairs though training will be provided to enable you to work to our systems and procedures. You will primarily be travelling around the Yorkshire region so a drivers licence is essential.
Apprentice Security Engineer
We’re also looking for an apprentice to train to become a security engineer. The role will include assisting with security alarm maintenance and installation as well as learning other areas of the business including CCTV, fire alarm and access control systems.
No experience or qualifications are necessary (we welcome applications from recent school leavers), just a willingness to learn and an interest in electronic systems. The role is customer facing so you will need good interpersonal skills and demonstrate an ability to be punctual and reliable. The apprenticeship will last approximately 3 years (possibly less depending on how quickly you pick things up) and you will shadow a qualified engineer, working on live jobs. You will be given support and guidance throughout and on completion you will become a qualified engineer and continue your career here.
Both roles come with an attractive remuneration package commensurate with the demands of the roles. They will be based from our new premises in Wakefield with travel around the Yorkshire region and potentially beyond.
These both represent excellent opportunities to join a friendly, growing company during an exciting period of expansion.
