National Home Security Month Week 1

Making home security child’s play

National Home Security Week (NHSM) is here again, celebrating its 5th year. This is a national campaign that takes place throughout October every year to give people tips and advice about securing their homes. You can see more about the national campaign here.

This year the theme is around making home security child’s play – following simple rules and advice that will offer your home the best protection against intruders.

As an official supporter of the campaign, over the next month we’ll be offering home security advice. We’ll be doing this via weekly blogs in line with the themes of each week as follows:

As well as daily tips that offer simple, quick advice on how to keep your home secure backed up by an explanation why it’s important. These will be posted on our Twitter and Facebook pages.

Do you need to spend a lot of money to make your home secure?

As a security company you might expect us to advise you that you need to spend a lot of money to truly make your home secure but NHSM is really not about that – it’s about giving you simple practical advice about the little things you can do to improve your home security. Some have a cost attached but a lot of it is more about changing your habits and behaviours.

Do you have any questions about home security?

We have a wide range of content planned for the month, however if you have a specific question you’d like us to answer please feel free to send that to us via our website, Twitter or Facebook and we’ll make sure we answer it.
