£600 donated to Victim Support for National Home Security Month

Back in September we pledged to donate £10 for every home burglar alarm installation and £2 for every home alarm service completed during October to Victim Support, in recognition of National Home Security Month. Well, we’ve totted up the total and we’re very pleased to announce that we will be making a total donation of £600.

We specifically chose this charity because of the work it does supporting the victims of crime including those who have been victims of burglary.

Simon Cook, MD of Calder Security, said:

“National Home Security Month has been a big success in terms of educating people about home security and sharing advice. Supporting Victim Support as well means that we’ve been able to make a positive impact on both preventing burglary and dealing with the consequences of it.”

Lesley McLean, manager for independent charity Victim Support in West Yorkshire, said:

“We are delighted that Calder Security have donated this money to Victim Support, which will help us make sure that victims of crime get the emotional and practical support they deserve. This generous donation will go towards the critical services we deliver – these include things like helping families at risk of domestic abuse get out of immediate danger, securing properties following a burglary and making sure young witnesses are prepared to give evidence in court.

As a charity we rely on donations from the public. If you are interested in donating to Victim Support, please visit our website for more information www.victimsupport.org.uk.”

We’ll be making the donation this week. Many thanks goes to all customers who had an installation or service during October, as they have helped to secure this donation.
